My mission is to take the complexity out of cybersecurity and give your organization the confidence to move forward.
Having consulted over ten nonprofit clients through the UC Berkeley Cybersecurity Clinic, I am uniquely positioned to understand the threats small organizations face and how to mitigate them.

The tailored risk assessment will detail your unique threats, solutions to mitigate threats, and which solutions to prioritize. In most risk assessments, I will provide both harm reduction advice and best practice guidance; i.e., what you can do today to improve your cybersecurity posture and what you can do in the long-term to be as secure as possible. I recognize that not everyone has the bandwidth to be secure right now, and I want to work with your resources!

Not sure how long to retain sensitive data? Questioning if your volunteers/employees should be communicating on WhatsApp, Signal, Slack, etc.? I’ll help you write policies — ranging from data retention to communications — that set those guidelines in place, so you don’t have to worry about information getting into the wrong hands.

It’s hard to know what to do in the event of a hack or doxxing. I’ll help you plan for how to react so you are prepared.

Let’s face it, cybersecurity training is often very dull — but it doesn’t have to be! I’ll train you and your volunteers/employees to be more cyber aware, and I’ll make sure it’s tied back to what we all care about: protecting ourselves and our communities.

How I Work
Discovery call to understand your needs and challenges.
Evaluate your organization’s current systems, policies, and risks through three to five meetings.
Deliver a risk assessment and any other agreed-upon deliverables (policies, trainings, etc.).
Optional ongoing advisory support as needed.
